iPad Guide
It is not necessary to use iCloud, Apple ID, or iTunes to operate your iPad.
When you receive a new iPhone or iPad, your company email address will already be set up on the device. All the apps that you will need to carry out tasks can be installed through the Self-Service App. If you have a special request for an app that is not available through self-service you will need to ask your Project Manager to contact the IT department to grant installation.

Download work-related apps
All of the software that you will need can be found within this app. You can download work related apps as necessary from Self-Service.

To download a new app through Self-Service, open the app and simply touch 'Install' under the corresponding App you wish to install.
Procore
Procore is a cloud-based construction management software application that helps firms increase their project efficiency and accountability by providing streamlined project communication and documentation. If you have never used this app before a project GC will set up your initial account and login information.
Scanning documents on iPhone and iPad
Open the Notes app on your iPhone or iPad and select a note or create a new one.
2. Tap the Camera button.
3. Tap Scan Documents
4. If your device is in Auto mode, your document will automatically scan. If you need to manually capture a scan, tap the Shutter button or one of the Volume buttons. Then drag the corners to adjust the scan to fit the page, then tap Keep Scan.
5. Tap Save or add additional scans to the document.
6. To email a scanned document, open the Document you just scanned by clicking the thumbnail image of the scan in Notes. Then touch the share icon on the top right hand corner of your screen. You can then send by email, or save your scan to Google Drive.
How to Send a PDF Copy of a DOC or SHeet from GOogle Drive
On the iPhone or iPad:
Open the Google Docs app and open your document.
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
Select the three-dot icon to being.
Select Share and export
Choose Send a Copy, then make sure that PDF is selected and hit Ok.
Select the person to send it to via Mail, Message or, AirDrop, or choose Save to Files to save it to your phone.
Troubleshooting
Name of Device
When you are calling or emailing the IT Department with an iPad issue, we need to know the name of your device in order to troubleshoot it. You can find the name of the device in the settings menu.
Settings > General > Name : Name of Device
Lost or Stolen Device
If your iPad becomes lost or stolen please contact the IT Department immediately. We can remotely secure all the data on the device and display a message on the screen with a phone number to contact.
Factory Reset at a Job Site
In certain scenarios, the IT department may need to factory reset your device in the field.
Known issues that require factory reset
BIM 360 Glue, Field, and Procore will not load when you open the App and enter your username and password. The password window appears to loop.
Websites in Safari will not open and say "You cannot browse this page at "website URL" because it is restricted".
There is a known issue that periodically restricts website access. If you encounter a website that is restricted please contact the IT department and the site will be added to the unrestricted list.
Instructions
When the IT department issues the command to wipe your iPad, you will notice the Apple logo appear. Follow the sequence of images below to restore your iPad. (These instructions also apply to company issued iPhones.)
When you've gone through the above steps, the Self-Service app will install itself automatically. Most if not all of your apps will begin to reload automatically. If one of your apps fails to load, (such as Procore) please contact the IT department and we will load it for you.
If the iPad asks you to enter an Apple ID, please follow these instructions. EAS does not issue or recommend Apple IDs on company iPads. You can use a personal Apple ID on your phone if you have one.
Setting up a Gmail account on an iPad.
Open your iPhone’s Settings app.
Tap Mail.
You might need to scroll down.
Tap Add Account.
If you’ve already linked other accounts to your phone, tap Accounts. Then, tap Add Account.
Tap Google.
Enter your Google Account email. Then, tap Next.
Enter your password. Then, tap Next.
You can choose to allow your Google Account to sync your data with your iPhone’s Mail, Contents, Calendars, and Notes apps.
You can update these settings at any time.
If you are still having trouble receiving email, tap an existing account and then tap Delete Account.
Once you have deleted the account, repeat the steps found above
