iPhone & iPad Guide

Company iPhones and iPads are administered through the IT department.

It is not necessary to use iCloud, Apple ID, or iTunes to operate the device.

When you receive a new iPhone or iPad, your company email address will already be set up on the device. All the apps that you will need to carry out tasks can be installed through the Self-Service App. If you have a special request for an app that is not available through self-service you will need to ask your Project Manager to contact the IT department to grant installation.

All of the software that you will need can be found within this app. You can download work related apps as necessary from Self-Service.

Lost or Stolen Device

If your iPhone or iPad becomes lost or stolen please contact the IT Department immediately. We can remotely secure all the data on the device and display a message on the screen with a phone number to contact.

Factory Reset at a Job Site

In certain scenarios, the IT department may need to factory reset your device in the field.

Known issues that require factory reset

  • BIM 360 Glue, Field, and Procore will not load when you open the App and enter your username and password. The password window appears to loop.

  • Websites in Safari will not open and say "You cannot browse this page at "website URL" because it is restricted".

There is a known issue that effects iPhones and iPads that periodically restricts website access. If you encounter a website that is restricted please contact the IT department and the site will be added to the unrestricted list.

When the IT department issues the command to wipe your iPad, you will notice the Apple logo appear. Follow the sequence of images below to restore your iPad. (These instructions also apply to company issued iPhones.)

When you've gone through the above steps, the Self-Service app will install itself automatically. Most if not all of your apps will begin to reload automatically. If one of your apps fails to load, (such as Procore) please contact the IT department and we will load it for you.

If the iPad asks you to enter an Apple ID, please follow these instructions. EAS does not issue or recommend Apple IDs on company iPads. You can use a personal Apple ID on your phone if you have one.
